Raja Natarajan
President, International Business



 
Raja Natarajan: Mr. Natarajan is the Executive Vice President of Technology at nsoro. He is responsible for creating a complete portfolio of technology solutions focused on wireless and wireline telecommunications. He leads a team responsible for RF engineering, create new software solutions, manage IT, host and manage web-based portal applications for nsoro's customers.
Prior to joining nsoro, he was Vice President of Operations at Telcordia Technologies. In this position, he was responsible for all operations in Software Systems, the group that architected, delivered and maintained all Telcordia software. This included globalization of the Telcordia workforce by creating new entities in India and other locations, Customer Care, Quality Management, and development of some of the core OSS products including LFACS and LEIS. The organizations that reported to Raja included Quality Management, Customer Care, Core Systems Maintenance Group, and all Offshore Development Centers. He was the executive sponsor for quality at Telcordia. Raja has a good knowledge of all the Telcordia Operational Support Systems including the Next Generation OSS products.
Raja came to Telcordia from Motorola where he held a variety of jobs. He was the Director of Security Technology Group for Motorola. He was responsible for creating a portfolio of wireless security products and solutions. His team led the development of a Universal Threat Management [UTM] product. Formerly the Director, Enterprise Business Development, he led the development of mobile phones with Near Field Communications [NFC], specializing in secure storage and secure over the air [OTA] solutions. As a Global Account Director for the AT&T account, he was responsible to sell Motorola's solutions to AT&T Broadband and AT&T Consumer and the total sales to these two segments of AT&T were over $800M a year.
As Director, Product Marketing, VoIP Products, he created the first VoIP terminal adapter in Motorola with four lines of telephony and broadband. Earlier, he was product manager for cable telephony and created a cable telephony solution with V5.2 interface for international applications.
Prior to joining Motorola, Mr. Natarajan served as a Member of Technical Staff, SBC Technology Resources [Southwestern Bell] where he created business models for bidding on wireless licenses in multiple countries. He was a pioneer in Fiber in The Loop [FITL] technologies and co-authored a Bellcore Technical Requirements document. Raja was instrumental in a Fiber to the Curb [FTTC] trial using switched digital video by creating a RFP, vendor selection, and negotiations leading to a 50,000 home trial in Richardson, TX. Raja has researched extensively on Fiber Optics Technology and HDTV during his tenure at Bellcore where he worked for 5 years before going to SBC.
Raja has a Master of Management degree from Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University, a Master of Engineering degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a Bachelor of Engineering degree from the University of Madras, India.
